Mumbai : Parents of Down Syndrome (PODS) Association celebrated WDSD at Oberoi Mall Goregaon (East). Mumbai on Friday, March 24, 2017, where persons with Down syndrome and their parents had fun time at the Oberoi Mall Goregaon (East). They performed dances to entertain the shoppers to create awareness about Down Syndrome. This event also showcased the special talents which the kids displayed. The programme was of one hour in duration from 6pm - 7pm.
World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD), observed on 21 March every year, is a global awareness day which has been officially observed by the United Nations since 2012.
Down Syndrome International (DSi) encourages people all over the world to choose their own activities and events on WDSD to help raise awareness of what Down syndrome is, what it means to have Down syndrome, and how people with Down syndrome play a vital role in our lives and communities.
